A complete tour list follows:

August 14: Columbia, MD (w/MGMT) at Merriweather Post Pavilion
August 16: Norfolk, VA at The Norva
August 17: Richmond, VA at The National
August 19: New York, NY at The Terminal
October 4: Atlanta, GA at Variety Playhouse
October 8: Houston, TX at Warehouse Studio
October 9: Dallas, TX at Palladium Showroom
October 10: Austin, TX at Austin City Limits

Currently, Devendra is contributing to a new tribute album to the trip hop legend, John Martyn, who passed away this past January.  The album features 22 artist’s taking on their own interpretations of Martyn’s songs.  Other artists contributing include Beck, Snow Patrol, Beth Orton, Paolo Nutini, David Gray, Vetiver, The Swell Season, and more.  As of now, no release date has been announced.

First, August 14th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.  Second, Devendra and his band the Grogs will also be taking the stage at this year’s Austin City Limits Festival!

The line up has been officially announced and includes headlining performances by The Flaming Lips, The Eagles, Muse, Phish, The Strokes and M.I.A.  The three day festival takes place October 8-10th at Zilker Park in Austin, TX — 46 green acres in the heart of downtown Austin.  Festival go-ers will have access to 130 plus artists from across the globe, the best of local food/fashion/art, fun for the kids, and the latest in eco-friendly and green happenings.  Festival operations are 100% carbon neutral. 

Banhart appears in a crowd of good company. Take a look at all the other artists who will be stepping out on the festival stages: Cage The Elephant, Vampire Weekend, Gogol Bordello, The Black Keys, Spoon, Norah Jones, Portugal. The Man, Amos Lee, Blues Travelers, Pete Yorn, The Verve Pipe, Switchfoot, The Gaslight Anthem, and so many more!

Hitting the road with Banhart will be guitarists Noah Georgeson and Rodrigo Amarante, drummer Greg Rogove and bassist Luckey Remington.

Critics have appraised Banhart’s live performances and albums alike. Rolling Stone stated the album was “the best [Banhart's] ever made.”

In addition to his tour, Banhart is working to remix songs by Oasis, Phoenix and Liars.
